Marshall: Let us continue to remember Father David Hoare, the Rector of St. John the Baptist, in our prayers as he recovers from heart surgery in Gibraltar, and remember St. John the Baptist as they await his return. Dcn. John Needham is holding the fort.

Pennsylvania
Phoenixville: Phoenixville -- God willing, Peter Anthony Geromel will be ordained to the Priesthood on Ember Saturday in Lent, March 3, at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Transfiguration, 51 Columbia Ave., Phoenixville, PA 19460. Clergy -- white stoles. Light refreshments will be served after the Liturgy. His first Mass will be Sunday, March 4, at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Transfiguration. His father, the Rev. Dr. Gene Geromel, SSC (St. Bartholomew's, Swartz Creek, MI), will preach and be the Deacon of the Mass.

Wynnewood: The fourth annual Altar Boys' Retreat will be from Friday evening, March 9, to Saturday evening, March 10, at All Saints', Wynnewood, PA. For more information, contact Deacon Peter at 610-937-4188 (cell) or cuculain@aol.com.

South Carolina
Greenville: A Spring Youth Retreat will be held Friday, April 20, to Sunday, April 22, at the YMCA Camp Greenville, in the beautiful foothills of South Carolina, for youth aged 12-18 (parents of younger children are asked to contact Fr. Paul Sterne at psterne@gmail.com or 803-782-4219 if interested). The Retreat ends with 10 a.m. Mass at St. Francis of Assisi in Spartanburg, with lunch following. Sponsored by the Church of the Epiphany/Diocese of the Holy Cross. Cost: $95 payable to the Church of the Epiphany. Contact Fr. Sterne, as above, for applications. Deadline for registration: Friday, March 30.

Spartanburg: Two ideas fof Lent from Bishop Timothy Farmer at St. Francis of Assisi: "As part of our Lent discipline, we are filling plastic baby bottles with our spare change and donating the proceeds to the Carolina Pregnancy Center; also, an excellent source for Lenten devotional guides is www.creativecommunications.com or 1-800-325-9414.

Columbia: Pro-Cathedral of the Epiphany: the upcoming Synod of the Diocese is May 3-5.
Texas
Brownsville: The Church of the Redeemer has voted to join the Diocese, and the Rector, Fr. George W. Graydon, and his Deacon, Carlos Reyes, have been received. Fr. Graydon has been named an Honorary Chaplain for the Military and their families, a ministry he has had for 56 years.

Clergy recently received into the Diocese: Dcn. John A. Brewster, Cheyenne, WY; Fr. Andrew Eagan, Director of the Dubuque Rescue Mission in Dubuque, IA; Fr. Scott P. Wilson, Sahuarita, AZ (all non-parochial).

Fr. Scott's wife Nora was received as a Deaconess.

A new Directory of the Diocese is being sent out. Corrections that have come in: Dcn. John Brewster's street address is 2810 Plain View Road, not 2710. Dcn. Carlos Reyes' street address is 714 San Pedro Lane, not 714 San Carlos. Under "Parishes and Missions, Pennsylvania, Phoenixville," Dcn. John Richards has moved and is now serving at St. Timothy's, Fort Worth, TX.

A Training Manual for Permanent Deacons is now being distributed. Order by e-mailing afdv1@yahoo.com. At this time, the Training Manual exists only as a hard copy for snail mail.
